Whether a couple is in the public eye or not, marital issues can exist. However, being in the public eye could present additional problems, as the media might portray the relationship in a wrong light. When celebrity couples divorce, the public is usually seeking for juicy details; however, these individuals are just like anyone dealing with a broken relationship. The couple must complete the divorce process, sorting through any divorce issue on the table.

Take for example the divorce of actor Bill Hader and Maggie Carey. Based on recent reports, the couple has reached a settlement in their divorce filing. This occurred only two months after filing for dissolution. This settlement addressed a wide range of divorce issues, and if all remains the same, the former spouses are set to become single on June 23.

Reports suggest that the Saturday Night Live alum and his ex addressed divorce issues such as child support, child custody, visitation, spousal support and property division. There settlement also touched on attorney fees and costs in a separate, private filing.

After marrying in May 2006, the couple filed for separation in July 2017. During their 11 year marriage, the couple welcomed three children ages 8, 5 and 3. In December of 2017, Hader then filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. In this filing, he sought joint physical and legal custody of the couple’s children.

Celebrity or not, divorce can be a complex matter. Although complex, it does not have to be difficult and dispute filled. Additionally, it can be a process that can be quickly and efficiently handled. While it might not seem possible initially, divorcing couples have the ability to reach a timely settlement on their own, helping them save time and money in the long-run.
